Each with a different soul, each populated by thousands of people who are extremely kind who experience the majesty of the city, but at the same time also an extreme sense of order and cleanliness. The photographer Hong Hao has kept track of almost every item in his life for the past 14 years. He has been working for over a decade on a visual project in which he documents everything he’s consumed by scanning each used item and composing what results into colorful photographic assemblage. Each piece reflects a certain time in Hong’s life, showing the incredible change in Chinese consumer habits over the last 14 years.
