For the development of each collection, our visual and design staff goes to major world cities to search out and capture new trends. Every year we visit London, Paris, Berlin, New York and Tokyo; and Tokyo is just what we want to talk about this time, visited by a research trip in mid-April.
Tokyo is a great city: one would likely want to take a picture in each corner in order to exploit the myriad of stimuli and new ideas for their collections; a colorful city where technology lives 24/7, where nothing ceases to amaze!!!
Ginza, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi; these are among the most important of the twenty-three districts of Tokyo. This year, to celebrate Le Tricot Perugia’s 40th anniversary, the company has decided to build an olfactory connection by creating a fragrance exclusively for all their customers. The inspiration and goal of the project is to enjoy the elegance and creativity of the company beyond the borders of their creations.
The delicate phase of selection of raw materials to be used has been entrusted to the perfumer Massimiliano Torti, who immediately loved the idea, taking care in production within his laboratory located in a beautiful eighteenth century palace in the green Umbria. It is with the perfumer that we began to weave olfactory ingredients in order obtain the outcome originally desired from the beginning.
After several brainstorming sessions, the sense of smell was the first test and, after many attempts and changes made to the initial draft, has been coined Princess Blanche. The fragrance has been aged in a cellar used for the maceration of perfumes for about forty-five days. The desire to create something that would represent our olfactory business philosophy immediately pushed us to search for rare and precious materials, with no expense spared for the creation of the fragrance. All this has been done to try to offer our clientele a product out of the ordinary, and of very high quality to perfectly match those that have always been represented in our other products. We firmly believe in the “Made in Italy”, as evident by all our creations, including”Princess Blanche” as the result of the excellence of an Italian perfumer.
The wise harmony created between feeling and aromas used has enabled us to create a perfume in which we see our ideal selves. As well as on our customers, the fragrance can be worn on Le Tricot garments from scarves to our precious sweaters.
